Why Satyam Movie failed?

Has Mani Sharma replaced Harris for doing the Re-recording of Satyam?
No, its all rumours spread by vested interests. Harris is the soul of my film and how could I replace him? We are all racing against time to finish the film and release on time.

The songs of Satyam are rumoured to be lukewarm. Please comment?
As far as I am concerned I go by my music company’s feedback and sales. It is Harris Jayaraj’s silver jubilee album and both Tamil and Telugu version are selling like hot cakes and is topping all the charts. In Telugu, Salute is my first straight film and I am overwhelmed by the sales and response to the audio.

There is a rumour doing the rounds that you have fallen out with Harris Jayaraj?
That’s utter nonsense as rumours are being spread by my detractors. Harris has given outstanding songs for Sathyam and now he is busy doing the live Re-recording at Kodandapani studio in Chennai. 80 musicians are working on it in a grand scale and trust me the background score for the film is going to rock.

There is lot of negative talk about the film Please comment.
Too much of hype is also bad. In fact I’m happy about it. Let people talk like that so that the expectations come down a bit. I am confident about my film and let the film do all the talking (smiles).

Do you think that the Chellamae Chellamae… song stills have been over exposed?
I agree with you but that is not my fault. The media is going overboard with those stills of me and Nayanathara and even if a small piece of news on the film is there this picture is used.

Her relationship with Rajini has made him to comment on her curves, which took everyone to surprise. She too appreciated Rajini for his energy even in his old age!

Nayanthara made Vijay to drop his long time girl friend Trisha and to invite Nayantara for the flag releasing function. Nayan's relationship is so deep with Vijay too.

Nayanthara's 'Costly Kiss' in Satyam:

It has now become quite common for hero and heroin to kiss on screen. But a kissing scene from the film Salute starring Vishal and Nayanatara is making the news quite prominently for quite some time. The reason is that Nayanatara is now a leading heroine and the kiss is very hot and comes with a expensive price tag too.

Nayanatara is reported to have asked for an extra few lakhs to do the kissing scene. It now remains to be seen how fat this 'kiss' will help in the fortunes of the film at the box office.

When the movie Satyam which is starred by Vishal and hot babe Nayanthara was started, the producer kept a budget of 30 million Rupees for the movie but when Nayantara was ready to showcase her curves he increased his budget for the movie to 230 million rupees. This was disclosed by himself in a recent press meet held yesterday.

Satyam Movie getting ready for release and touch 23crores:

Yesterday hero Vishal and director Rajasekhar met the press.Rajasekhar said.“Just because Nayantara is an actress, I am not for projecting Nayantara as a glamour girl. Nayan has acted very much in keeping with the character she plays in the film. We did not force nayantra to do a glam role. When narrating the story we told her she has to do close scenes in a song sequence and nayantara consented. We originally planned to complete ‘Sathyam’ within 3 to 4 crores. But now the film’s budget has touched 23 crores. It is coming to screens in Telugu and Tamil at the same time. The Telugu version is titled ‘Salute.’ We are planning 600 prints in both languages.”
Stumbling block in Vishal-Nayantara duet!

The Vishal - Nayantara duet being filmed in Kutralam for Satyam is said to suffer hiccups every now and then. Not that Nayan is catching a cold when subjected to the chilly weather. This stumbling block is attributed to Harris Jeyaraj’s delivery of the song in installments. A unit source revealed that the musician is meting out the song in bits and pieces to the crew. Not to mention, the crew did not have the song in hand while setting out to Kutralam for filming the same. Harris promised to deliver it however, before the crew reached the shoot spot and did it in installments of stanzas and BGM scores. There is no mutter of exasperation heard from the crew in this regard though. “The song has actually exceeded the expectations and is sure to bust the charts when released,” a content unit source was quoted as saying.

Satyam (Telugu Salute) Song Clipping Latest Stills:

The movie promises to be the next big action flick Kollywood has to offer. Addressing mediapersons a year after they began making Sathyam, director Rajasekar and actor Vishal on Monday said that they had spared no effort in making the film, which they plan to release on August 14. “When we started this project, I submitted Rs 3.80 crore as budget for this film. However, around 24 crores have been spent on this project so far and at no point in time have we spent anything more than what was necessary,” said director Rajasekar.

He also pointed out that they had spent a whopping Rs 1.75 crore on a single song, that had been penned by Pa Vijay in the film. “The hero and the heroine prepared themselves for five months for this song, which is certain to appeal to kids. Harris has done a wonderful job and this happens to be his 25th film,” he said.

Elaborating that the post-production work was on, he said, “As Satyam is a bilingual where the hero plays the role of a cop, a lot of effort went into changing costumes. That’s because the uniform of the Tamil Nadu cops is different from that of their counterparts in AP. So, Vishal had to change costumes even for the same scene.”

Vishal, who informed that Sathyam was his seventh movie, said, “The effort that I’ve put in this film will be equal to the sum total effort I put in for all my other six films.” A lot of effort went into making the car chase and the Chellame Chellame… song,” he said, adding that the movie would be titled Salute in Telugu. Viewers really enjoy Nayanthara's new look in Salute.

Satyam Movie Vishal-Nayanthara Latest Gossips:

Making use of the occasion to put to rest rumours about his love life, Vishal said, “When I fall in love, I’ll tell you. You guys will be the first to know.” The star, while responding to a question on a hot song in the film, said, “We didn’t do it deliberately. The story required such a song and that is why it has been included in the film. When you watch the movie, you’ll know.” The actor also made it clear that the heroine of the film, Nayanthara, had been informed well in advance about the song. “ It was because of her co-operation that the chemistry shows,” he said.

On the much-talked about six-pack the actor sports in the film, he said,“ I appear bare-chested for around one-and-a-half minutes in the song. I had to work for almost six months to build the six-pack .” Vishal, who informed that Sathyam was his seventh movie, said, “The effort that I’ve put in this film will be equal to the sum total effort I put in for all my other six films.” “A lot of effort went into making the car chase and the Chellame Chellame… song,” he said, adding that the movie would be titled Salute in Telugu.

Satyam Movie Director Rajashekar on the rise:
Much before commencing his directorial venture, A.Rajashekar was a journalist who worked for India Today. Well, speaking about his debut directorial Satyam, Rajashekar says that he has blended his real life experience while working as a journalist. As known to all, a journalist is a professional who just brings news to the masses and an entity differs from general journalists who delivers on the emotions he went through while covering the news. A.Rajashekar belong to the latter category and his experience as a new reporter has got him the essence of real lives of people and their stories. As a keen interest towards making films, he has made documentaries for BBC and NGC and authored the critically acclaimed novels Porali and Uzhavaligal.

Nayanthara acting like a comedy girl in Satyam:

Vishal’s Satyam produced by his brother planned to shoot the entire film within a budget of Rs. Four crores but now it has crossed 25 crores. But Vikram Krishna is not perturbed by this. He keeps his coolness, maybe the new girl in his life might have been the reason for his coolness. Director Rajasekhar is in all praise for Vikram Krishna for his undaunted stance in spite of the raising budget.

Vishal plays the title role of Satyam, a strict deputy commissioner of police. Nayanthara plays Jayalakshmi, a news reporter with a private TV channel. The film has the right mix of glamour, action sequences and comedy track. Nayanthara seems to have tried her hand at comedy.

Satyam Vishal-Nayanthara in Tenkasi?

Pal Pappaali… is for the masses:
After Kuuselan, the most highly hyped film of this year is Satyam. This Vishal-Nayanthara film is grabbing all the attention.Though the film is a police story, Vishal is marketing it as a mass masala entertainer with posters of his six pack abs and muscles plus Nayanthara`s sizzling poses.

Satyam produced by GK Film Corporation, Vishal’s home banner has aroused curiosity, as the film has Harris Jeyaraj`s music and is his 25thfilm.

So all Harris Jayaraj fans were eagerly waiting to hear this audio which was officially launched without any fanfare or function.

The audio has opened to mixed reports. The highly hyped song is Chellame Chellame… sung by Bombay Jeyashree, Sunita Sarathy and Balram, to Yugabharathy`s lyrics.

But the masses love the racy Pal Pappaali… which has lot of rural beats. Kapilan`s lyrics talk about a list of vegetables used for lunch sung beautifully by Naveen and Mahathi.

Pal Pappaali… was shot in Tenkasi with lot of dancers and choreographed by Dinesh.

Satyam Vishal announced himself as Puratchi Thalapathi?

Fans of the Kollywood stars spend money for their favorite stars, even those money that is saved by their parents to buy medicine or for education.

Kollywood has a culture of pouring milk for the cut-outs of the stars even while the fan's family or child will be crying at home without milk.

We had Puratchi Thalaivar (who managed to become CM of TN with the help of his fans) and Nadiga Thilagam (he never misused his fan club) then Super Star (who created a new culture of hero adoration) and Ulaga Nayagan (he never supported his fan club) now in recent times Thala and Thalapathi! - both carrying the culture created by Super.

Now Vishal announced himself as Puratchi Thalapathi, while Barath calls himself as Little Thalapathi. Soon Veera Thalapathi and Ulaga Thalapathi will be reserved by other stars!

'Satyam' fight scene at cost of 1.5 crores?

Vishal tells stunt master Kanal Kannan that he's ready for the take and presses his foot on the accelerator, woth villain's henchmen chasing him and cinematographer RD Rajasekhar starts shooting the scene. In 10 seconds they were gone half a km and when the cars bumped into each other, Vishal's car did a topsy turvy and got back straight.

This put butterflies in the stomach of those present. But the take was successful and as Vishal emerged from the car, director Rajaekhar gave the thumbs up victory sign.Vishal, aren't you afraid? You do such shots so coolly?

"If one wants applause from the audience who pays to see me on screen, all these risks are like halwa," says Vishal after doing a thrilling scene.

"You would never have seen such a car chase in Indian films," challenges Kanal Kannan who has brought in 6 experienced drivers from Mumbai for the action scenes. 50 stunt men in 48 cars have risked their lives for the car chase.

The scene running to 7 minutes in the film would be shot over 20 days on various locations like Tambaram bypass, Ennore, Ramojirao Film City, Pattinapakkam and so on.

New cameras like Roll Vison and Cross Camera are used to shoot this scene and the visual effects are by Craig. He has worked in famed Hollywood film 'Mummy' and 'Krish' starring Hritik Roshan.

Producer Vikram Krishna casually remarks that this fight sequence alone costs...hold your breath...1.5 crores!

Satyam - Yet another stunner from Harris Jayaraj:
Harris Jayaraj is proving to be a rare gem in Tamil Cinema. He speaks less and his songs do the rest. Right from his first film 'Minnale' till 'Satyam', Harris has never compromised on quality and has successfully belted out chartbusters one after another.

'Satyam', the 25th film from his stable, is indeed very special. It has right mix of hip-hop, melody and kuthu songs. He has experimented with new sounds and new voices. A shrewd thinker, Harris has intelligently used the voices of Premji Gangaiamaran and Rahul Nambiyar.

The additional rhythm and the Chinese interludes in a couple of songs display his mastery in Tamil film music.

Nayantara’s new look shook all the heroines in Kollwood. Her sizzling looks certainly makes us wonder how she did it. Nayantara wanted know the same thing when she saw Vishal. Vishal introduced trainer Prasad to her. Then you know what happened.
Ajith, Vijay, Vikram and now Satyam Vishal:

Do you know what these actors have in common? One good similarity would be that each one carries prefixing titles before their names and have been regarded as mass heroes. So what’s the other one? Well, if you wanna name an actor who has delivered extremely successful films playing dual and more roles, obviously it’s none other than Ajith Kumar. Be it Vaali, Villain, Varalaaru or his previous blockbuster Billa, every flick has been top-charting. But things didn’t work out for Vijay with his dual role, despites his good performance in Azhagiya Tamizh Magan. Vikram is set to play dual roles in his next film to be directed by K.S.Ravikumar.

And now Vishal is following the paths of these actors for he would be depicted in double action in his next film. The untitled film that will have its shooting commenced after the release of Satyam is directed by Piruthvi.

Dhaam Dhoom paves way for Satyam:

Late director Jeeva’s Dhaam Dhoom is ready to hit the screens soon. In fact, Kollywood was abuzz with news that it would see the light of the day on August 15th. But sources now say that the release has been postponed for a couple of weeks. When probed into the reason behind this, we found that Vishal’s Satyam is touted to be released on August 15th. Dhaam Dhoom team does not want their film sharing the same platform with it. Those who have seen the film already say that Dhaam Dhoom has come out very well. Even the film’s trailer bears testimony to this fact. It may be recalled that Jeeva succumbed to a massive heart attack while shooting Dhaam Dhoom in Russia. The film was later completed by his wife Aneez, associate Manikandan and guru P.C. Sreeram.
Satyam Movie premiere on August 12th in Malaysia:

Satyam, starring Vishal and Nayantara, will have a grand premiere in Malaysia on August 12th, which will be attended by many Kollywood stars.

The bilingual film (Tamil and Telugu) is eagerly awaited by the audience. This is a revolutionary period in Tamil cinema, where the method of filmmaking is witnessing a sea change. Long gone are the days when Hollywood used to be the sole benchmark in the filmmaking industry.

Satyam sets a new trend which packages the commercial elements of Indian cinema in a manner appealing to worldwide audiences.

Is Vishal so Proud about his character in satyam?

Vishal is acting as a police officer in the movie Satyam. Satyam movie is about a police officer named Satyam who is a Police Asst Commissioner. The movie is an action oriented one and has lots and lots of stunt scenes. Nayanthara is pairing with him in this movie. Extra money was paid to her than agreed as she agreed to be sexually close with Vishal for camera too!

As the story moves around the life of a police officer, an encounter scene is present in the film. Vishal is so proud about the same!!!

Nayanthara Plans Extra Flesh in Satyam Film!

For the film “Satyam” with Vishal seems Nayanthara had leaned too much. For this she followed strict diet and food and finally she shapes well. In Satyam film she looks more glam, his structure and curve were totally changed. She looks sexier in Satyam but some of her fans after seeing her at a public place suggest her to increase her weight which most of Nayantara fans want to look her.

After this Nayanthara plans to throw her diet and food habits some days to put some weight. Only Kamal Hassan will do these kinds of body pumping and slimming technique. Hope Nayanthara is the only actress trying like our Universal Hero!!!

‘Satyam’ running the race alone?

Will ‘Satyam’ run the race alone? This is the question doing the rounds in Kollywood now. Normally a host of movies hit the screens on 15 August (Independence Day) every year.

However this time around , it is said that a slew of movies have backed out of the race at the last moment since Rajinikanth’s ‘Kuuselan’ had released just a week ago and also because Kamal Haasan’s ‘Dasavatharam’ is still doing good business at the box office.

The likes of ‘Jayam’ Ravi’s ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ and ‘Sakkarakatti’ have pulled out leaving Vishal’s ‘Satyam’ to run the race alone. ‘Satyam’ starring Vishal and Nayantara is directed by debutant Rajasekar and has Harris Jeyaraj’s musical score.

Filmed with a huge budget, the movie has been produced by Vishal’s brother Vikram Krishna and is simultaneously getting released on 15 August in Telugu as ‘Salute’.

Expected to be an action-packed venture, the movie features Vishal, Nayantara, Kannada actor Upendra among others in lead role. Vishal plays a tough cop for the first time.

However Vishal is happy that the film has been censored and is now ready for release on August 14ht on thursday. Vishal concludes that : “I’m very happy and contended the way the film has shaped out. The censors have been nice and they also acknowledged the fact that the film has a powerful message to convey.”

Producer Vikram Krishna said that, Vishal worked hard for this movie and actor Upendra, who acted as a vilan in this movie is equal to Vishal’s character. Nayanatara played as a journalist role in this film.

Salute(Tamil Satyam) releasing with 800 prints:

GK Film Corporation’s Vikram Krishna produced; Vishal’s action-cop film salute is releasing with 800 prints all over the world in Telugu and Tamil on 14th of August. This film has obtained A certificate in Telugu. Nayanatara is doing the female lead in this film.

Among the cuts given by the censors, the steamy song Chellame, Chellame… picturised on Vishal and Nayanthara has been trimmed. Some dialogue muting is also there. D Suresh Babu is distributes Salute in four areas.

As Rajini started a trend of depending of female skins for doing business for the movie like Sivaji, where Nayanthara and Shriya showed their skins to help Rajini to retain his market. Vishal too has depended more on Nayan's skin show than his talents for the biz of the movie Satyam.

The film Salute starring Vishal and Nayanatara in the lead roles is produced by Vikram Krishna under the banner of GK Films Corporation. This film is directed by A Rajasekhar. Vishal became popular with the Telugu audience after his Tamil films were dubbed into Telugu and ran successfully in the theatres. Pandem Kodi, Pogaru and Bhayya were hits at the box office.

Salute is a bilingual film made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. In one way it may considered as the first straight Telugu film for Vishal. The story of Salute deals with an upright Police Officer Sathyam(Vishal), who always goes by the rule book and never spares any criminal. In the line of his duty, he rubs someone(Upendra) on the wrong side, which causes enmity between the two. This rupture between Sathyam and his antagonist creates lots of hurdles for him and he faces them with courage. Professionally, Sathyam meets a TV journalist Divya(Nayanatara), who helps him through her own journalistic investigations. Both of them develop an affectionate intimacy between themselves. The rest of the story deals with Sathyam bringing to book the antagonist and uniting with his lady love. The film also stars Upendra, Ravi Kale, Brahmanandam, Ali, Tanikella Bharani, Hema, Apoorva and others. Salute is said to be a high budget film and the fight sequences and songs are said to have been picturised in a highly stylized manner. Satyam trimmed by 22 minutes!

A usual cop story back in the town again. Well, most of the leading actors in Kollywood have reached their heights of glory performing the role of police officers. Followed by Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Surya here comes Vishal donning the same role making no difference with the story. Debutant Rajashekar was reported to have captured his real life experience as a journalist, but the impact isn’t powerful as expected. A honest police officer fighting for justice fighting against the bad politicians and revealing their true colors. This has been everlasting story centered on cops and Satyam is no exception from this.

What makes the film so special? Take a look on the synopsis before we go for the analysis…

Satyam (Vishal), a sincere police officer is not dead against encounters on baddies in the town nor does he allow his colleagues to bump off gundas. He believes that encounters are not a means of putting an end to bad things, but a favorite sport for politician who wants to kill their henchmen when situations are unfavorable. Kondal Dasan (Kota Srinivasa Rao), Law Minister eyes to grab the position of chief minister and orders his left hand Dilli (Ravi Kalle) to bump off the other cabinet ministers. But, a stranger (Upendra) is already there bumping off the targets that leaves Kondal Dasan and his entire gang puzzled, even Satyam who is on the pursuit of mysterious killer. Sooner, Satyam finds out that the assassin is none other than ex-police man Manickam (Upendra) who happens to be the main inspiration for Satyam becoming a police officer. What was the intention behind the murders? Does Satyam prove of Manickam’s murder act? Does he taken into clutches of law or disapprove of the case lodged against him? Wh
o is his next target? Does he accomplish with his task or Satyam? You will have whole lot of questions answered in the second half.

Film moves on bit of dragging with commercial elements of title song about hero worship, romance, fun, frolic and heroine falling in love with a sincere cop. But, the pace is on as Upendra appears on the screen. Be it his body language or action, he sways on with the best performance and at certain points he dominates Vishal. For no sound reason, his role gets diminished as he remains silent till the climax scene and Director should have utilized him more convincingly in the climax part. Oops! What about Vishal? Yes, his looks and acts are stunning, but the silly aspects like volleyball rolling under his palms and taming down the baddies with the same ball is quite annoying. Even the rontbenchers wouldn’t be convinced with this. Fine! He is top-notched with his stunts, especially in the climax sequence he stuns with his breathtaking fight.

Nayanthara as a journalist does no good for the film. It’s again a girl falling in love with a man, shaking legs with him for couple of songs. Director should have presented her characterization in a little powerful manner, since Nayan is capable of doing it.

Kota Srinivasa Rao is back with the same performance as he did in Saami. Prabhu Nepal does a decent job and so does Ravi Kalle. Premji Amaran is there to add humor and he does justice to his role. Though appearing in few scenes, Sudha Chandran as Vishal’s mother steals the show on the emotional aspects.

Getting on with technical aspects, it’s a great disappointment from the gang of leading technicians. R.D.Rajashekar who captured the scenic shots in films like Kaakha Kaakha and Ghajini fails to do the same over here. Antony on his editing does no wonder for the film and Harris Jayaraj well known for churning out the best background scores dashes our hopes. Thotta Tharani’s set decoration for ‘Ada Gada Gada’ and ‘Chellamae Chellamae’ goes mind-boggling.

Might be, Director didn’t turn up to their side leaving the entire process into their hands. Let’s glimpse through some of the blatant flaws committed by the director. On the trial, Upendra proves of his absence in airport during the time of murder. But how that is an international airport with lots of candid camera would have missed capturing his entry or moment before he gets into airbus for boarding… In the climax sequence, when Vishal is shot, the culprit is beaten up by the crowd, but it is so surprising to see that none of the police officers, public, even his ladylove doesn’t get to his rescue. Certain things of this sort seem to be absurd and Director should have worked on these aspects precisely.

On the whole, Satyam is a flick to watch to kill your time. Go with no expectations, you will enjoy it. Of course, it’s a grand fiesta for Vishal fans.

Contrary to reports doing the rounds that Satyam took a disastrous opening, Vishal vehemently denies it and says: “How can you judge a film in just 3 days? The family audiences are yet to watch the film and the opening was good”.After getting feedback from theatres and friends the actor immediately trimmed 22 minutes of the film two days after the release.

Vishal says: “Satyam has been cropped by 22 minutes so make it crisper. Everybody felt it was too lengthy in the first half and so we decided to shorten it”.

It is a brave and daring decision by the actor to admit that he has trimmed the film.

As per theatre sources, the song Ada gada, gada…, the comedy scenes of Nayanthara and children, Brahmanandam, Senthil, Premji has been deleted. Plus the ice-factory long drawn out fight scene has been shortened.

Nayanthara role in Satyam:

Has the role in Satyam gone against Nayantara’s image as the girl with the right attitude and oomph factor?

Yes seems to be the answer, as our website is flooded with letters and mails from her fans on why she had to do this role of a dumb girl Deiva accompanied by her side-kick comedian Premji with a video camera?

The popular complaint against her role- “ Nayantara is there as lead to four of the five songs in the film- Yen Anbae, Chellamay Chellamay and Paal Papaali”.

OK… in Tamil superstar films, heroines are there as mere set property and songs. Still the same Nayantara shined in Yaaradi Nee Mohini, where she was throughout the film and it was a hit!

Recently Nayantara also received flak when she did a scene with Vadivel in Kuselan, where the comedian accidentally end up in her bedroom and without her knowledge makes lewd faces as she is dressing! In the entire film her character has no dialogue.

But why are our actresses treated in poor light? The sad truth is that, these girls have no choice! Earlier Trisha too was targeted by critics when she did characters of educated rich girl in Bheema and Kuruvi falling in love with uneducated goondas seeing their muscles!

In Bollywood, gone are the days where the female lead flips for a macho man or is always in kitchen and is the typical sati savithri type. Remember that recently when Nayantara plays the bold Sasha with the right amount of glamour and attitude, who was never after the handsome hero in Billa, it worked big time with the masses.

Then why are directors in Kollywood offering roles to heroines that offers them more than just revealing cleavage to attract frontbenchers? Today, girls in Bollywood prefer to do roles with shades of not just white and grey but a splendid black which are more challenging and true to the skin characters.

Satyam Review - By Nayanthara Fan

Star-casts: Vishal, Nayantara, Upendra, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ravi Kale, Prabhu Nepal, Sudha Chandran and many others.
Banner: GK Film Corporation
Production: Vikram Krishna
Story, Screenplay and direction: A.Rajashekar
Music: Harris Jayaraj
Cinematography: R.D.Rajasekar
Editing: Antony

Satyam has been raising our expectations from a very long time and today you have the film hitting the screens all over the world. Well, we are delighted in bringing you the first exclusive review about the film with a clear picture of analysis. Commencing his directorial venture with an action-thriller, A.Rajashekar has roped in a theme that is so happening in today’s society. For as the story, it’s the same old police story that leading actors like Vijayakanth, Arjun, Kamal Haasan, Surya, Vikram and many others who have performed the role of cops who are there to strike down the baddies and cleansing the society.

Being an honest police officer, all throughout his career, Satyam (Vishal) is a person who doesn’t like killing down the rowdies under encounter orders. Valid reason lying beneath is that he believes in the fact that politicians treat gangsters as their henchmen in times when they need and bump them off when of no use. Avoiding encounters would perhaps get the culprits in the politics into the spotlight. The story moves on these lines for the first half accompanied by fun and frolic on the parallel lines where, Deiva (Nayantara), a journalist residing in the apartments of Vishal goes dead against him. Of course, the children over there in apartments are opponents to Deiva and them Vishal as his gang leader. On the emotional lines, a deep affection is revealed between mother-son relationship and Sudha Chandran as Vishal’s mother does a beautiful job.

Things get screwed up when law minister Kondal Dasan (Kota Srinivasa Rao) hires his henchman Dilli (Ravi Kalle) to kill the other cabinet ministers since they are his greatest hurdles of becoming the next chief minister. But the mystery begins with the entry of Manickam (Upendra) who bumps off the cabinet ministers that Kondal actually wanted to kill. With Dilli, Kondal and his right hand Acharya (Prabhu Nepal) completely perplexed about the mysterious man, Vishal standing on the shoes a cop hunts for the assassin and traps him at a point only to find out the shocking truth. What is the truth all about and has both of the met earlier forms crux of the story?

Not breaking the formulas of clichés, Vishal follows the same trend of getting hero-worships, fast-beat folk songs, and unsuitable comedy tracks. However, this magical formula works well with the frontbenchers and Vishal fans. On the other hand, Nayantara grabs the attention with her sultry looks, but she has nothing to do with the film. However, it’s Upendra who steals the show his stunning performance and the moment he appears on the screens, there is big hand of applause and continues throughout…
Kotta Srinivasa Rao, Prabhu Nepal and Ravi Kalle do justice to their roles.

R.D.Rajeshekar’s cinematography and Antony’s editing are completely disappointing but Thota Tharani lives up to the expectations with his spellbinding art direction for the songs. Harris Jayaraj on background score does sound good while couple of melodies is tuned well. Stun Shiva’s action choreography especially in the climax sequences are the stealing highlights in the film.

As a whole, Satyam is a commercial movie that can be watched once and you don’t get more than you expect. A typical Vishal film and it would be very nice if Director A.Rajashekar had avoided some of the noticeable flaws.

Getting on with plus and minus about the film, Upendra’s performance, Vishal’s typical looks of a cop, Thota Tharani’s set decoration. Well, on the negative traits, its about director beating the bush with same old story, Nayantara’s character lacking finesse and Cinematography by R.D.Rajashekar and Editing by Antony.

Vishal’s Satyam cropped now:

Unexpected results of Satyam have really shocked Vishal and his brother Vikram Reddy. The film has flunked at the box office and after deep analysis, it has been surveyed that lengthy dragging sequences have bored the audiences, especially the last 30mins of the film. Now, after getting to watch the film along with the crew, Vishal and his team members have decided to chop 25mins of the film.

But we aren’t sure whether these modifications would eventually lead to film’s success. As the saying goes, first impression is the best impression, audiences wouldn’t again come and watch the film and make it a big success….

Salute Movie Review:

Banner: GK Productions

Cast: Vishal, Nayantara, Upendra, Ali, Kota Srinivas Rao, Brahmanandham and other artists

Music: Harris Jayaraj

Director: Rajashekar

Producer: Vikram Krishna

The movie was much hyped and much awaited movie for all the fans of Vishal. But the script in his film gets lost in the middle and then emerges out from nowhere. Although the movie is scripted to highlight a strict cop, the narration and the screenplay are not perfectly up to the mark. Though the fans of Vishal and Nayan get disappointed by the story, the on -screen chemistry between the lead brings some soothing breeze to the audience.

Story

The story begins in the first frame showing Satyam (Vishal) as a strict law abiding police officer who goes according to the law full procedures. He is against non-violence and believes that every culprit who evades law must be punished in accordance with the Justice and the Indian penal code. He is also against the Encounter police which the present day cops employee to eradicate the anti social elements.

In the meantime the political scenario in the state changes and a well known politician with an evil background is made the Chief Minister (Kota Srinivas Rao) of the state. He in order to reduce his enemies hires a killer on contract and hands over them all then name who have to be eradicated from his path.

Incidentally, the Chief Minister discovers that his job is being made easy, as an unknown killer is on a killing spree in eradicating the CM’s enemies.

Then our powerful and strict police office Mr. Satyam is given the job to nayanthara

nab the killer. He is none other than Prathap which is a character played by the well known artists Upendra. Prathap is a former police officer who gets betrayed in his profession by some men who hold high post in the society.

Then the real fight begins between Satyam and Prathap. And the lawful police officer is keen to eliminate Prathap from the world in order to save some people. In the meanwhile, Divya (Nayantara) emerges on the screen as a crime reporter

Then the real suspense and thrill begin in the minds of the audience. What is the mission of Prathap? Who is Nayantara? And what happens in the end is the conclusion of the story.

Performance

Vishal looks superb with his six pack abs. He is going to get molested by young girls if he goes into the public. His well toned body adds more glitter to his tall, dark handsome resemblance. His character as a cop well suits him. But it can be concluded that for a dull subject like this, Vishal has wasted his voluble time.

Upendra has acted according to his character his serious role suits to his body language and well apt expressions according to the dialogues make him a versatile actor.

Nayantara is just limited to a brief role of a crime reporter. Her costumes in songs and her dresses in the scenes are really seductive. She is like a glam doll to attract the mass audience.

Kota odes his regular villainy acting very well and Brahmanandham backs the comedy element in this film.

The director has failed in some areas like presenting the story, comedy track and in the climax. The story becomes jumbled up and is so irritating in the end. The usual cop story is twisted in such a way that the audiences feel exhausted after the movie.

Songs are presented without any required situations and the music is also no at all impressive.

On the whole there is nothing new in this film and may be banking on Nayantara’s shapes and sizes. The film will run for 2 weeks at the most.

Top 5 films of the Week - Aug 15 2008

1. Kuuselan - One of the best films directed by P.Vasu and the ever best performance by Rajnikanth. Superstar would have appeared in many of his previous films in different roles, but he has actually proved himself to be a great actor with this film. However, Pasupathy dominates all throughout film. Meena’s performance is so naturalistic and in contrast goes Nayanthara. Her character is more irrelevant to the film. G.V.Prakash could have done a better job and Aravind Krishna’s cinematography steals the show.

2. Dasavatharam – A magnum opus in the career of Kamal Haasan. Performing 10 roles doesn’t alone help for the film’s success, but the gripping storyline by Kamal Haasan does it. K.S.Ravikumar is the man behind the success of presenting the film so commercially. Lots of flaws are more blatant with the make-ups.

3. Subramaniapuram – An unexpected film at the unexpected time. Hitting the screens between the two biggies of Kuselan and Dasavatharam, the film has really made big at the box-office and a heartily congratulations for the entire team. Director Sasi Kumar shines well as an actor too…

4. Satyam – Vishal who has been donning mass hero roles opts for a different show. However, Its Kannada Superstar Upendra who is dominating the entire film. Nayanthara does wonder in her performance. Director Rajashekar should have worked more precisely on crafting the story in a better way.

5. Aayutham Seivoam - A moderate commercial entertainer that can be enjoyed if you watch the film without any expectations. Sundar C does justice to his role and his combo with Vivek is a great attribute for the film’s success.

The Verdict

Though a single sincere super cop setting right the political mess is too cinematic to be credible, Salute can be seen for its slick and stylish production values and the performances of Vishal and Upendra.
Sathyam Movie Review- Free Download!

Vishal’s Sathyam movie already created immense welcome among the audience. The film is a splendid action subject and it will surely have a mesmerizing effect on everyone who watches this movie. The theme of Police is correctly handled by the Director and it sounds good. Vishal perfectly plays his role as an Assistant Commissioner of Police a tough guy takes charge in a police station and he also has a physically challenged mother taking care of him. At a point of time the Police Department will give directions to encounter the rowdies in city but Vishal saves them and gave explanations to the superior in striking style.

The story got evolved when the CM got unwell and there was some cold war inside the parties. It was Kota Srinivasa Rao(Politician) who appoints a Dilli (criminal) to eliminate the other candidates but things went wrong for the politician. When Dilli went to kill the other politicians an unknown killer does the job and went away from the place. The minister and Dilli got panic after this incident and seek support from Police and appoint Sathyam for his protection and further investigation of murders. After digging all the evidence Sathyam finds the killer face to face. Then comes the flashback and reveals the connection of the killer with Super Cop.

The remaining is all about whether Vishal last as a principled cop? Vishal made his body fit for a tough cop. Nayanthara with her glam and dazzling look as a smart video journalist and plays an important role in Sathyam. Actor Upendra character in the movie adds surprise to the story. Particularly when Vishal and Nayanthara hot song sequence and stunt sequences cinematographer R.D.Rajasekhar stands high. As Vishal already speaks about the strength of “Sathyam” is Harris Jeyaraj music and it has no doubt Harris done his part well.

The film is filled with lots of twists and turns which helps the story moving. Sathyam will be a fabulous production for GK Films Corporation. As Ac Sathyam, Vishal strikes him as a Super hero as well as a Super Cop. Totally the film had worked as a team and the credit goes to them as well. Already songs become craze among the music lovers. Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal Physically changes his body and he has put all his effort to give cent percentage perfect from him. The message of the movie is already told in many movies and there is nothing new expect the hero and good camerawork with extended actions. In general Sathyam

Do you think that the Chellamae Chellamae… song stills have been over exposed?

agree with you but that is not my fault. The media is going overboard with those stills of me and Nayanathara and even if a small piece of news on the film is there this picture is used.
